Capricornia Silver Band

‘Capricornia Silver’, our brass band, was originally formed in 1969 and usually comprises 25 instrumental brass musicians and 4 percussionists with new members always welcome.

Instrumentation: Eb Soprano Cornet, Bb Cornets, Flugel Horn, Tenor Horns, Baritones, Euphoniums, Tenor Trombones, Bass Trombone, EEb & BBb Tubas & Percussion

Currently under the baton of Rodney Haynes, members of Capricornia Silver Band (CSB) enjoy performing at a variety of local events throughout each year along with hosting concerts to showcase a wide selection of music for our local community.  CSB regularly compete at Band Championships, and attained A Grade status in 1987. The band has competed at most state or national contests, winning the State A Grade titles in 1997, 1998 & 2000, and currently compete in C Grade.
