Capricornia Winds

‘Capricornia Winds’, our Concert Band, began as an exciting initiative in 2016 and includes a wide selection of accomplished players of all ages, providing the opportunity to perform quality and challenging wind band repertoire.

Instrumentation: Piccolo, Flutes, Clarinets, Bass Clarinets, Alto Saxophones, Tenor Saxophones, Baritone Saxophone, Oboes, Bassoons, Trumpets, French Horns, Trombones, Euphoniums, Tubas, Percussion, String Basses

Currently under the baton of Jody Ohl, members of Capricornia Winds enjoy the opportunity of performing throughout our local community each year, along with preparing for and hosting their own concerts to showcase a variety of repertoire for our family, friends, supporters and the wider community.  Capricornia Winds competed at their first State Championships in 2017 in C Grade and first National Champions in 2019 in B Grade, and this is a wonderful opportunity to challenge their skill level in working together at a higher level.
